The Sacred Heart College Writers' Forum contests are generally meant for our students. But we have decided to host a few contests every year that are not restricted to them.

Poetry
You can submit a poem, which does not exceed 30 lines, based on this picture. You are free to experiment with any of the poetic forms, or free verse.
Original thoughts and metaphorical expressions will be appreciated.

This is a new contest. All you have to do is to give an appropriate caption (1-8 words) for the picture here.
We will publish the winning entries in the blog, and also in an online literary journal that we plan to bring out early in 2012. We do not offer cash prizes, but please do note that there is no reading fee as well.

The interface colours are still very garrish! Red and Green are never a good combination of screen colours. Talk to someone who knows UI design.
ReplyDeleteWhy are you so obsessed with this template? there are so many other "backgrounds". The writing or contributions of the authors must be the attraction not the web design which is very distracting

Please do send your comments regarding the appearance of the blog to our email id: sacredheartcollegeblog@gmail.com, because the designs may keep changing seasonally. We will keep your suggestions in mind. Personal tastes may differ, but we will try to have some themes that are not too hard on the eyes.
If you can suggest someone who can work on it, that is also welcome. The blog is the outcome of the work by students, teachers, parents, alumni and well-wishers.
