Green Resolutions

So, here is the beginning of another fresh new year. Hope each one of you must have already prayed for a good year ahead, you must have promised new promises and resolutions. Yes, it’s time to make a new set of resolutions. Your resolution list must have already begun, the list might go on from a well-planned healthy diet to quit smoking. Other than our personal resolutions, this time let us add one resolution for our ‘mother Earth’, let us not make her alone to face the destruction caused by us ‘humans’. Let us share our duty to cause this change!

The International Mother Earth Day is celebrated every year on April 22nd. It is celebrated to raise public awareness to all the well-being of the planet. The Earth and its ecosystem, are our home. In order to achieve balance among the economic, social and environmental needs of present and future generations, it is necessary to safeguard or Earth. The Day also recognizes a collective responsibility, as called for in the 1992 Rio Declaration, to promote harmony with nature and the Earth, to achieve a just balance among the economic, social and environmental needs of the present and future generations of humanity.

‘The Climate Change’ is happening worldwide. We see every now and then natural calamities happening, there are a new climate change happening in places which were not seen before. The mother Earth is showing its different faces, it's alerting us to make a change, it is giving us a chance to change.  So, on this new year, let one of our resolutions be, to protect our Earth! To plant more trees! To ban using plastics! To not to put an end to this resolution by 10 days! To make this win each day! Let us unite to make our Earth grow greener, keep the green and keep its beauty forever!
